Happy Birthday to Me! Plus, Room Organization tips!

Hey!! So, today is my birthday!! I had a great time getting together with all my girlfriends for the party. We had SO much fun! Anyway, I've been thinking....It is time I remodel my room. My room literally looks like...well...crap! It has drywall all over it from nail marks, etc., it hasn't been repainted in who knows how long, and I never seem to have picked out a decent color scheme! I won't be able to really remodel until a little while, but I am going to provide you with a few tips and tricks to organize your room!

So, first off, you need to have a complete room rejuvination. If you're anything like me, there's all kinds of little knick-nacks and random stuff just sitting around your room. Go through every drawer, every crack and crevice and throw away anything you don't need. It will leave you feeling fresh and de-cluttered.

Next up is to establish an actual system of organization! I would reccomend finding storage bins for under your bed, in your closets, etc. I myself have the PBTeen Dotty Storage Bins that work really well, hold a number of things, and don't get dirty. Group things together. (e.g., Books in one bin, CDs in another.) Be sure to label the bins!! Then, place them in a spot where they are easy to reach and are needed. You don't want them sitting in the middle of the room.

After this, double check your room and make sure you have means of a main storage. If you have a lot of items and not a lot of storage, consider buying a desk or cabinet/bookshelf. And don't put it off! If you are younger, discuss with your parents the situation you have in your room. Make it a point to buy some unit for storage!

A Little About Me!

Okay...so I'm back!! :) Now I have something a little more interesting to talk about! I figured I might as well tell you a little about me..so, lets get started!
I am a regular southern belle, I am super into fashion (especially vintage! Lacey dresses, Peter Pan collars, floral print...everything!) so I will most likely be posting a few outfit designs. I am also really into D.I.Y projects! I like doing the fun and usable ones, like making your own scarves, skirts, etc. Here lately, I have been really obsessed with making my own makeup brush holders. Things like that. Next up... I am pretty much a huge nerd. I am obsessed with Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and (don't judge me!) ....Star Wars. Yeah, I said it. And, last but not least, I am a huge poet! I write poetry a lot. I know what you're thinking: they're the really corny "deep" poems. This is not the case! Trust me! I do write from my heart, but it's not the weird kind, if you know what I mean. So, I guess that's it!! I'll get back with you tomorrow..I have tons of cute things to do with this, so hopefully it turns out!
